Moe? Where have you been??

Don't worry, I'm still around! Though I have been neglecting the blog/portfolio a bit... whoops.

So, where have I been?

Well, a lot of places. I recently started suffering worse with my schizophrenia, so I had to take some time off work and search for a few different gigs to make some income while waiting for my short term disability to be approved. Then, a family member I was close to passed away, and I needed time to grieve. With everything that was going on, I missed my goal of writing a short story every month, which was disappointing. It also gave me time to reflect, though, and I realized something.

My stories, recently, have been getting longer, and longer, and longer! As I've been learning and growing as an author, expanding on my craft, I've been really stretching the modern definition of 'short' story.

So maybe, just maybe, I'm ready to take a shot at my first novel.

Writing a novel means there's going to be fewer short stories appearing here, unfortunately. But! I am going to try and take the time to write other blog posts, mostly about the craft, what I've learned, and some of my experiences learning to write. A lot of the topics I'm going to be writing about will be topics requested by the lovely folks chatting with me on Twitch or Discord, so if you have something you'd like to request, pop on over!
