Looking Ahead to 2026

I only published one story in 2025. One!

It's not that I only wrote one short story in 2025. I was just a little all over the place. I jumped from project to project, I spent a lot of time trying to submit to write for Reedsy contests in tight time constraints, and I was ploughed over by health issues and other chaos in my personal life. So I was writing a lot. But I wasn't finishing much, and I wasn't publishing anything.

This year, in 2026, I want to change that. I want to write a new short story every month. Even if it still feels like a second or third draft by the end of the month, I want to make it exist, and exist in a state that's coherent. I'm going to likely only be publishing those stories here on my portfolio/blog, but at least they'll be published somewhere.

Here's to 2026, and the stories I want to tell throughout it!
