Hello there!

I'm Mortimer "Moe" Ridgewood, a young author from the southeastern United States. At the moment, I mostly write short stories as I settle into my niche and build the skills I'll need to eventually write a longform novel. My writing tends to bounce back and forth between horror and comedy, with the occasional deviation in between. At least, that's what I've been told. Sometimes the genre escapes me halfway through writing... whoops!

For the longest time, if I didn't submit a piece of writing to a contest, I had nowhere to share it. However, throughout 2025, I was beyond flattered to find multiple people reaching out to me to ask where they could read more of my work. I decided to start this portfolio/blog as a way to easily share writing, blog about my process, and track my progress over time.
